7:15 – Discussion of the Officer situation – as you know September is Dues and officers month and we need to start thinking about the officers situation.  As you know, for a variety of reasons I will not run for President for next year.

7:30 – As the meeting ended last month we successfully completed the discussion of “The Miracle of Drag and Drop”.  If there are follow up questions or clarifications needed on that topic, this will be the time to address them.

7:45 – We will cover printing of photos from iPhoto or any other program that you may have.

8:00 – Q & A – We will attempt to cover topics brought up by the members.  If possible could you email a description of your desired topic to <webmaster@beachmug.org> and it will be posted on the club website so that others can see what might be covered.

8:30 – Adjourn

Dues are due in September. $12.00 per year.

8:00 – Q & A – we will try to answer questions on any topic as well as clarify anything discussed earlier in the meeting

Good News, the new projector has arrived and, besides being smaller than the one we have been using, it has some other cool features that we’ll see at the next meeting.  At the meeting we will, in addition to the macmini and the projector, have speakers set up and a printer.

The main focus of the meeting will be on photography using digital cameras, iPhoto, printing, moving pictures to-and-from the camera chips and how moving pictures FROM iPhoto to the camera chip can be useful.  Be sure to bring your digital camera and questions.

A more detailed agenda will be posted here about a week before the meeting.

Incidentally, when you are emailing me concerning club matters, please use the email address in the signature below.  If you do that the email will go into a special folder on my computer where I will be sure not to miss it.  I get a lot of email in my regular mailbox and sometimes I just skim through them and occasionally miss something important.

Hello all.  My name is Karl Johnson and I’d like to welcome you to the new BeachMUG site.  This site will allow for easier updating of the site and for much more current information.

BeachMUG was originally conceived of and created over a cup of coffee and lunch at Beaver and Heron Pub (now the Shoalwater) in 2002.  We met for years at the Ilwaco High School Library.  Now our meetings are held every third Thursday of the Month at the Super 8 Motel in Long Beach.

I have returned to active duty so to speak and I am taking over the web mastering duties.  This new site is being generously hosted by beachdog.com with access to some new tools to make for a more interactive site.

Things to look forward to down the road include the ability to easily show video tutorials, a repository of tips, trick, links to software and reviews and soon a discussion board.
