Article 1 Membership
A. All individuals are welcome to attend general membership meetings.
B. Membership is open to all persons who maintain current dues. These members will be considered ‘Active’ with full voting privileges.
Article 2 Officers
A. The officers of the club shall consist of a President, a Vice-President, a Secretary, a Treasurer, a Librarian, and an Apple Ambassador.
B. The term of office shall be one (1) year for any officer excluding the Apple Ambassador who is appointed by the President.
Article 3 Election of Officers
A. Election of officers shall occur each September.
B. The General Membership shall select a nominating committee in the month of August.
C. The President shall appoint vacancies, that occur during the year, until the General Membership can hold an election.
Article 4 Duties of Officers
A. President: The President shall preside at all meetings, shall appoint committee chairpersons as needed (except nominating committee), shall establish agendas for general membership meetings, shall update the Website as required to keep members up-to-date on club activities.
B. Vice-President: The Vice-President shall act as program coordinator and shall preside in the absence of the President.
C. Secretary: The Secretary shall keep minutes of all regular meetings and shall prepare correspondence for the President to be posted on the website and a copy to file.
D. Treasurer: The Treasurer shall collect and receive all money due and shall make deposits in a bank. The Treasurer shall prepare a report to be presented at each general membership meeting. The Treasurer shall maintain the checking account. Use of funds will be by vote of the attending general membership. Checks drawn from the account will have signatures of two (2) officers.
E. Apple Ambassador: The Apple Ambassador shall stay current with the latest news and software updates. The Apple Ambassador shall care for the physical assets (hardware) of Beachmug.
F. Librarian: The Librarian shall care for the educational assets of Beachmug (books, dvd’s, cd’s, video’s,). The librarian shall control the distribution of these assets for use by ‘Active’ members.
Article 5 Dues
A. Dues will be set by a majority vote of the membership. These dues are currently set at $12 per member, per year.
B. Dues are payable by the general membership meeting in the month of September by the Treasurer.
C. New members will pay a prorated amount equal to $1 per month, from the month of entry, prior to September.
D. Student dues will always be set at one half (1/2) regular membership.
